About Me:
My Name is Lynda Jensen. I live in the beautiful state of Utah, I'm a widow and I have an amazing 10 year old son named Rylee. When people ask me what I do for work, I like to say that I'm a Professional Volunteer, I actually work for a national service organization through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. This lets me work at my sons elementary school. At the school, I help with volunteer management and recruitment, I built their website and help support their social media, I help with literacy interventions, promote S.T.E.A.M. initiatives, write grants, help promote community involvement, fight poverty, actively participate in the Community Council, support the school in many other ways and have fun.
Outside of work I'm an active member in my church. I'm a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, for short LDS, and some call us Mormons. I have held a calling as a Primary Counselor for almost 2 1/2 years, and I work with the youth who are ages 11 and under. I also help out with the Cub Scout program and I'm a member of their cub committee. When I'm not busy being a mom and a Volunteer extraordinaire, I love to enjoy this world we live in. That may mean traveling to a new place or it may mean exploring the mountains in my own back yard. I love the outdoors and I love going places. I was raised as an army brat so I tend to be a little bit nomadic and to hold back the urge to move a lot, I travel. I'm loving, positive, kind, and easygoing. I love people, and I love to help. I'm strong and independent, and giving. I'm a true and loyal friend and I surround my self with great people. I have a happy life, and I love to live. |
